Strategic Management Accounting 1-

This course builds on the material covered in NMAC 201 Costing Accounting. It focuses on the use of accounting and non-financial information in strategic planning, control and decision-making. Areas covered include; the nature and purpose of management accounting, budgeting and budgetary control, standard costing, cost-volume-profit analysis, relevant costing and short-term decisions, decision-making techniques such as optimization and decision trees; and responsibility accounting in performance evaluation of responsibility centres.
